Nominations and Elections Timeline
  • Nominations will be accepted from October 5, 2020 through October 28, 2020, 12pm Central Time.
  • If there are more than two qualified nominees for any office, a run-off election will be held during the first week of November 2020. The two candidates receiving the most votes will proceed to the final ballot.
  • If there are not two qualified nominees for each office, the Nominations and Elections Committee will extend the nominations for a period of one week and work to obtain additional nominees only for the offices in which there are not two nominees.
  • The NCACES secretary will send the final ballot to NCACES members via email for voting no later than November 15, 2020. Voting will be open for one week.
  • Votes will be counted and verified by the Nominations and Elections Committee.
  • Candidates will be notified of the election outcome as soon as the votes are counted and verified—no later than December 1, 2020. Correspondingly, NCACES membership will be informed of the election results no later than December 1, 2020.

How to Nominate Yourself for Office
Potential candidates for all positions must:
  1. Write a statement of intent to run for the chosen office including two paragraphs that will appear on the web-based ballot form that describes the candidate’s qualifications for the office and/or pertinent skills and attributes that the candidate possesses relevant to that office. Each person may run for one office. Send your statement of intent to Jennifer Cook, jennifer.cook@marquette.edu
  2. Obtain support to run from at least 10 NCACES members. To complete this part of the process, email potential supporters and ask them to complete the nomination link via Qualtrics: https://marquette.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8qDixJMCTJbrdAh
No other method to support nominees will be accepted other than the Qualtrics link. Nominators must be current NCACES members and must provide their name, their accurate NCACES member number (this is the same as their ACA membership number), your name, and check the box that they support your candidacy. NCACES members may support more than one candidate to run for any office.

All nomination materials, including support from 10 NCACES members, must be received by Wednesday, October 28, 2020, 12pm Central Time.
